Off-island canon applies up to the days prior to her flight to Australia. In the context of an RP AU, a short while before making her decision to travel overseas, Kate crossed paths with one Lincoln Burrows after happening to chat with him online. After a one-night stand, the two parted ways, only to cross paths again after LJ's release from prison. Lincoln convinced Kate to stay, but after helping Lincoln get his son back and spending a few nights with him, Kate took off again. At present, their relationship remains on-again, off-again, and at present the two are still apart.
